Fazl Ali College,
Mokokchung, on December 2 bade farewell to two Laboratory Assistants, namely
Ms.Sentizungla and Mr. A. Tia Pongen from the Department of Chemistry and
Geography respectively. They have retired after 35 years of active service in
the College.
The farewell program
was chaired by Mr. Ajungba from the non-teaching staff. The Principal-in-Charge
Mrs. R. Arenla Aier said in her speech that they were very sincere and
dedicated in their services and have contributed immensely in many aspects of
the functioning of their respective departments in the college. Mr.L. Tongzuk
Sempo, the Head Assistant, who spoke on behalf of the non-teaching staff,
reminisced about how the times have changed ever since they joined in their
respective jobs. Ms. I. Narola Imchen, Head of the Department, Chemistry
testified about the sincerity and the humility with which Ms.Sentizungla
rendered her services and the work ethics she has modelled for the younger
generation. Besides, the Head of Department Geography, Dr. Tsukjemchila Imchen,
also echoed similar views about Mr.A.Tia Pongen and that he cared for his
department as if it were his own.
The outgoing staffs
also gave brief speeches and the benediction was pronounced by Mrs.Nungshimenla
from the non-teaching staff.
